Im changing the focus of my blog, it will be more towards sharing things in life, in particular FOOD!!
Siglap area is a well known area for many food establishment and this trip is targeted to this restaurant by the name "Big Fish Seafood Grill". This restaurant had been around for quite a number of years as I could vaguely remember this restaurant near another pasta restaurant.
Let's talk food!!
As the name suggests, this place is good for its fishy. Here's a pic of what I ordered (see left). Its very much a today's special, even its plate setting is different from the rest (see the background)
The fish is call halibut. Its like french to me as Im not a big fish fan and all tat's in my dictionary is salmon, cod, fish & chips (opps, tat's not a fish).
It came served with sauteed vegetables & mashed potatoes. Lets go back to the main dish. The fish is delightfully fresh and you can tell that from the texture and tenderness of the flesh. The light taste brings the freshness to the fore. Some sauce were being beautifully set around the plate.
As for the sides, the vegetables retained some of the cruchness while the mashed potato were smooth and mixed with some flavouring. Overall: 4.25/5
A side note, they serve lamb shank as well which i took a bite from my fren's plate. Well it was tender but with character that wants you to make the effort of chewing before it surrender. That being said, it was just a false front no soldiers were lost. Not bad in all but i prefer winning without fighting... lol.
